Ideally you have attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading; basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses; knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout. Day to day you will feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
