Ideally you have good eye for panel gaps and body lines; confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports; attention to detail and a clean, even finish. On a typical shift you will read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair.
