Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in YSR district, State of Andhra Pradesh. The job is at a power plant. You will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
