Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Karur, State of Tamil Nadu. You will work on a busy housing site. We are looking for proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks; reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets; CSCS card or willingness to obtain one. The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around ₹27,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
