Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in North Goa, Goa. The role involves sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Ideally you have able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown; quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
