What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings The role involves: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
