Now hiring: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Darrang, Assam. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. Ideally you have confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers; accurate to fine tolerances on finish work. The role involves: • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
