Furnace operator — Tumkur

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Tumkur, State of Karnataka. The job is at a busy iron foundry. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. We are looking for physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings; able to read simple casting drawings and job cards; comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around ₹14,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
