Day to day you will compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair. We are looking for able to mix paint by weight on a scale; physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
