Day-to-day duties: • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines You should bring knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron; ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade; 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience.
