Day-to-day duties: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Ideally you have able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level; sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing.
