Ironing operator — Chennai

Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in Chennai, State of Tamil Nadu. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
