Now hiring: brick mason (State of Kerala)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick mason in Kottayam, State of Kerala. You will work at a residential building site. Your main tasks: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation You should bring able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently; reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets; comfortable working at height on scaffolding. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
