Day-to-day duties: • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish 6+ years on the tools preferred.
