The role involves verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements.
