Bar bender and fixer • Gaya, State of Bihar

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Gaya, State of Bihar. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire You will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing.
