You should have: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
