The role involves: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Ideal candidate: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
