Day-to-day duties: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes You should bring experience with carbide tooling and insert selection; comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg.
