Trowel-trade bricklayer — Mysore

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Mysore, State of Karnataka. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Ideally you have NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage; comfortable working at height on scaffolding. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
