Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Ahmadnagar, State of Maharashtra. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 6+ years on the tools preferred.
