Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Longleng, State of Nagaland. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. We are looking for 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory; understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens; quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
