Presser — Bishnupur

Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Bishnupur, Manipur. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets The role involves: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Full-time with occasional weekends.
