Tig welder — Kargil

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Kargil, Ladakh. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
