Ideally you have valid digital tachograph card; confident with manual handling and load securing; clean driving record with no recent endorsements. Day to day you will top up AdBlue and refuel at scheduled stops; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; report defects and book the unit in for servicing; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
