Steel erection rigger — Nellore

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Nellore, State of Andhra Pradesh. You will be based at a shipyard. Ideally you have proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites; ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams; confident with standard crane hand signals. Your main tasks: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Read lift plans and method statements before starting 3+ years on the tools preferred.
