Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment presser in Narmadapuram district, Madhya Pradesh. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Ideally you have able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets; aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep; comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment. ₹15,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
