Now hiring: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Theni, State of Tamil Nadu. Ideally you have able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine; a keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases. The role involves sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure. ₹36,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
