The role involves report accidents, breakdowns and vehicle damage to the supervisor; carry out daily pre-trip checks on tyres, engine oil, coolant, brakes and lights; maintain the vehicle logbook and record opening and closing mileage; follow loading sequence so first-drop parcels stay within reach; handle cash on delivery and reconcile the day's collections; top up engine oil, coolant and washer fluid as needed.
