The role involves deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment.
