Foundry labourer — Belgaum

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Belgaum, State of Karnataka. The job is at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Six days a week, one day off.
