Join our team: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Pashchim Singhbhum, State of Jharkhand. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot Day-to-day duties: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment 6+ years on the tools preferred.
