Your main tasks: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance You should bring physically fit to stand and lift workpieces; good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work.
