Immediate opening: sewing machine operator (State of Bihar)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Pashchim Champaran, State of Bihar. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
