Immediate opening: sewing machine operator (State of Tamil Nadu)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Thoothukkudi, State of Tamil Nadu. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. You should bring understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens; quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension 1+ years on the tools preferred.
