Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities.
