On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
