Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Jayashankar Bhupalapally, State of Telangana. The job is on a busy housing site. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Your main tasks: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Part-time with flexible hours.
