Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Biswanath, Assam. The job is on a building construction site. What we are looking for: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE The role involves: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms Overtime paid at a premium rate.
