Industrial sewing operator — South West Khasi Hills

Join our team: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in South West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. You will be based at a busy garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory On a typical shift you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. ₹28,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
