On a typical shift you will shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly. You should have: • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
