Immediate opening: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Ranipet district, State of Tamil Nadu. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. On a typical shift you will remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. You should bring a keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases; able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets; 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory.
