Ideal candidate: • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop Day-to-day duties: • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash 4+ years on the tools preferred.
