Die-casting operator • Ariyalur, State of Tamil Nadu

Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Ariyalur, State of Tamil Nadu. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week — bring your tools.
