You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through The role involves inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle.
