Steel fixing chargehand • Mau, Uttar Pradesh

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Mau, Uttar Pradesh. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Ideally you have proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites; able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Your main tasks: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
