Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Kishtwar, State of Jammu and Kashmir. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Ideally you have knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding; keen eye for casting defects during inspection; experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
