Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Wardha, State of Maharashtra. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. The role involves carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. You should bring physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles; able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear; sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
