Fettler — Davanagere

Join our team: we are hiring a fettler in Davanagere, State of Karnataka. You will be based on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. You should bring willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts; keen eye for casting defects during inspection; comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal. ₹33,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
