Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line You should bring can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently; understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens.
